Scott Kington
founding partner
Scott is a passionate creator and business culture enthusiast, dedicated to building some of New Zealand’s most iconic brands.
He brings together a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and scientific approach. With a background in zoology and marine biology, his scientific approach has evolved into a talent for new business development. As a natural out-of-the-box thinker, Scott sees opportunities and solutions where others may not. He has a particular skill-set for start-ups and new business opportunities, having co-founded and served as Managing Director of Blunt umbrellas from concept to global expansion.
In his role as founding partner of Beyond Usual, Scott is currently focused on helping entrepreneurs and businesses to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Josh Page

Josh is a branding and marketing expert with a passion for brands with purpose and a love for telling stories. Josh has a unique skillset of conceptual theory and commercial execution.
Josh has a background in Graphic design, Brand and Marketing, and has overseen the visual style and communication for businesses and brands, employing a pragmatic approach throwing out the “design for design’s sake”. With over 25 years of visual communication and strategic brand design experience working in Auckland and London for local, national and global brands including Guinness Global, Jamie Oliver as well as working on many NZ household names.
Josh worked alongside Scott Kington as the global brand manager to build the Blunt brand from an emerging startup into one of NZ’s most aspirational brands to watch.
Georgina White

Georgina is a creative designer passionate about telling stories and growing engagement through thoughtful and purposeful design.
After graduating from design school, she received a scholarship to work at a design agency in New York for a year, learning from some of the best.
With this overseas experience in Brand Design (including Identity, Logo Design, Guidelines, Custom Typography, Iconography and Print & Digital Applications), Georgina brings a great eye for design to the beyond usual team.
Having worked on global companies and start-ups such as Trip Advisor, Luxury Retreats, Allbirds and much more, she is now based in Dunedin and is is excited to help put some local NZ brands on the map.
